In reply to: HomepageJohnzoro, which links would be wrong? The links in the front page (domain name) or your WordPress links? i’m trying to understand what you want to do.
Static page at domainname.com
WordPress at domainname.com/directoryIs that correct?
If yes, you can change the links in your static pages to point to WordPress.
WordPress links will point to WordPress unless you manually insert the links in menus and links within text to point to the static page at domainname.com.Forum: Fixing WordPress

Try deleting your browser’s cache and maybe restart your web server to clear any cache files

In reply to: How can i make my site load faster?Try disabling all your plugins and load the default WordPress theme. Does your site load faster?
This might be a plugin or a theme issue. To test the plugin, disable them all see if your website loads faster. Then enable the plugins on by one and see if any plugin affects performance.
You can install a page cache plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-super-cache/ or https://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/ and see if that helps.

A possible quick fix will be to check your cookies permissions and allow third party cookies.

In reply to: domain questionIf the domain you registered doesn’t fit your need you will have to register a new domain for your site.
Hosting your website has nothing to do with the domain name purchase. Most hosting providers offer domain name registration to help users but the two processed are separate.
You can but a domain name from company A and hosting from company B. Then use the domain from company A to company B with proper configuration (DNS).

In reply to: unable to edit old pageThe will need admin access to the site or editor access to fix this. If they are logging in with a limited account they probably don’t have access to do much.
