How about try the following:

1. Ensure that you have run /wp-admin/upgrade.php.
2. Check that the “WordPress address (URI)” and “Blog address (URI)” is correct in Options > General (no trailing slash).
3. Try removing rpc.pingomatic.com/ from the “Update Services” list in Options > Writing.
