I had the same issue and just asked my hoster to remove that file (actually this is not file but symlink).
If you have shell access you can try to remove it yourself.
OK, so the only solution is tag cloud in backend, right?
I also tried to use this: http://heftagaub.wordpress.com/2007/05/27/common-themes-directory-for-multiple-instances-of-wordpress/ but it didn’t work for me.
