In reply to: Using Fantastico to upgrade 1.2 to 1.5 (good idea?)Thanks for the information, it sounds as though I should do a manual upgrade so that’s the route I’ll take.

In reply to: space between sentencesI tried your example on my test system and it didn’t have an effect.
The first paragraph doesn’t have paragraph tags.
The second paragraph does have paragraph tags and gets different formatting.
Any other ideas? Thanks for helping.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: space between sentenceshmm, wordpress is putting those in. I don’t insert paragraph tags.
If I do, would that correct the problem?Forum: Themes and Templates

I noticed that wordpress 1.2 doesn’t put the first paragraph with ” tags, the second paragraph does have them. The paragraphs have two different sets of formatting apparently.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: space between sentencesWhy would this apply to the second paragraph and not the first?
Thanks again.Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: Word-wrap trackback URL’sThis is what I did:
” title=”Trackback url (right click to copy)”>«Trackback url for this post (right click to copy) »
Has anyone figured out why a long trackback url extends beyond its div container? It doesn’t appear to stretch anything, just span it.
I noticed that a long title wraps, why doesn’t the trackback url?
Thanks.Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: Extra line break in blockquotesI’ve seen the blockquote used to format a string of text, thought it looked good.
Yes, there is a better way and I will do that and I do agree that using the blockquote for the above purpose is probably an abuse and a well trained webmaster wouldn’t use it that way.
I was interested in finding out why the white space occurred only after top/bottom borders were turned on. It didn’t show up with only the left border on.
Thanks for your input though.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Extra line break in blockquotesI’ve only seen it when I turn on top/bottom borders. Do you believe the same still applies?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Extra line break in blockquotesI found that if you put blockquote within a <div>
</div> then the white space is not added.
Weird, and I cannot find a way to override whatever it is apparently inheriting.
Was this problem ever solved?Forum: Themes and Templates
