It seems like it might coincide with the cursor being one character to the left, even when pressing End. As a workaround, one may just continue editing the post until completion/preview, copy the contents of the HTML view, return to the dashboard, reenter the post, and paste in the HTML.
I am having this issue as well. Let me know what information would be helpful and I would be happy to provide it. I don’t see a bug describing this on Trac.
