Hi
Thanks for prompt response.
Can now see a thread on the Elementor plugin forum with a few people having the same issue (unrelated to SG optimiser). Will assume for now it’s Elementor plug-in update not SGP (which makes more sense anyway), and I’ll try to get a fix through that thread.
Thx
Thanks for the suggestion
Putting the CSS code line in Appearance-> Customize-> Additional CSS partially solves the problem.
It applies the desired CSS to the “Message before” text and the “Results page”, but the CSS of all the questions does not change.
From what I understand from this page …
https://quizandsurveymaster.com/docs/advanced-topics/editing-design-styles-css/
… the .qsm-quiz-container class should change everything in the quiz. But, either something else is the overwriting the css on the question pages, or they’re not picking up the css changes within the overall container.
A little weird and niggly, but it doesn’t really affect the quiz experience, so can live with it.
Thanks again
Hi
Problem partially solved.
It seems to relate to having a custom CSS line in the style tab, where this
.qsm-quiz-container { font : poppins; font-size : 18; font-weight : bold; }
which worked previously, now doesn’t pull up the questions. (though it works on all other elements such as the message before and results pages).
Weird, but at least there’s now a solution. The usability issue is now fixed, by switching all quizzes back to the default Primary CSS style. Looks OK, works perfectly. That’s much better than looks great, doesn’t work properly!
Will experiment with CSS functions at a later date to see how to restore the style, but it’s a minor design issue only.
No further questions / follow up.
Thanks for your help
Weirdly, when I drop the brand new quiz (you can see it in the /quiz folder) into one of the live site pages with the quiz version which doesn’t work, it seems to trigger both quizzes into working.
The JS runs fine when both quizzes are on the page. But when I take it back out, the original quiz goes back to not working.
It does at least give me a plan B of rebuilding the quizzes from scratch, and putting new ones in over the top of the ones not working.
Thx
Thanks for getting back to me and appreciate you helping me diagnose the issue. I understand it’s not running the JS to load the questions.
But as yet, I’ve not yet been unable to solve it.
I tried testing the same quiz page on the site with WP 2020 theme (mine is on Neve). The issue remains.
I tried temporarily deactivate=ing all plug-ins on the site except QSM. The issue remains.
I’ve been able to create a brand new quiz from scratch to test and publish it on a plain WP page. That did run the JS, so my latest thought is maybe something to do with Elementor which I use as a site builder.
I’ll plug away at it tomorrow, and let you know, but if you have any other ideas in the meantime, appreciate any help.
Thanks
