    Thanks, esmi. So I may need to worry about hosted sites, but if I buy my own hosting account, everything on it is registered to me.

    Thanks for the reply esmi and khena25. If I understand you correctly, WordPress and other blogging tools are just that: tools. My concern stems from websites like Facebook where, when you post information, the site can store and use it for it sown purposes. Put another way, you don’t really own your information.

    I do worry that there’s a line of text in some legal document claiming when I clicked “I Accept” I gave up all my content.

    There is no “I Accept” button in WordPress.

    I was worried there is some disclaimer that includes WordPress’ (or any other tool’s) right to use my blog information for their own ends. Is this the case?
