I’m not sure I’d know what looked odd but I’ll take a look.

I’ve decided to reset and remove the bbPress forum, which seems to have worked, and I’ve also contacted my host as there were some issues with databases recently.

Ipstenu, sorry for slow reply and thanks very much.

Shortly after your reply I worked out that all I need to do is export the database from the Tools menu, and import it again in the other blog. All very easy! I don’t know why I didn’t spot it before.
