In reply to: I’ve lost most of my admin menu under version 2.7How strange. I don’t know then. All the links to everything should be on the left side of the screen. Just out of curiosity did you try logging in with IE?

In reply to: I’ve lost most of my admin menu under version 2.7Huh. Weird. Did you JUST upgrade? If so, did you try deleting cookies, closing the browser and logging back in to the admin panel?

In reply to: I’ve lost most of my admin menu under version 2.7Hit “print screen” on your keyboard (usually in the upper right hand corner) and then paste it into some sort of photo editing propgram (for instance paint in windows). Save it and upload it to your server and link it here 🙂

In reply to: I’ve lost most of my admin menu under version 2.7What do you mean you can’t access it? Everything you need is on the left side of the screen.

In reply to: Posts gone– all but 3, but not visibleThere isn’t a problem with 2.7. There are problems either with the person upgrading, the server, etc.
Obviously these “poor programmers” know more than you if YOUR “fix” screwed your posts. I see that your posts are all showing now. I’m sure you found that the problem was YOUR error but you didn’t bother coming back here to state such.

In reply to: Bluehost.com and how to upload themes.Ok… so I’m getting the feeling you don’t know what we mean when we say to upload using FTP. FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. It’s a program (filezilla is a free one) that you use to log onto your website so you can upload/download files.

In reply to: Bluehost.com and how to upload themes. You logged into your site via FTP and upload the unzipped theme to wp-content/themes? Right? And again… what do you mean when you say it didn’t work?

In reply to: Bluehost.com and how to upload themes. It didn’t work to upload it? What do you mean when you say it didn’t work? Because it HAS to work if you uploaded the unzipped file to the proper place.

In reply to: Bluehost.com and how to upload themes.Heh I know Whoo, I was being a smartass 😀
This is merely a suggestion and all but hows about you upload the theme all at once via FTP instead of doing it a file at a time through your cpanel?

In reply to: Bluehost.com and how to upload themes. If you figure out how to upload something to your cpanel will you let me know how you did it? Because that would be some trick!

In reply to: WP 2.7 Upgrade Buggy????It’s not buggy. My upgrade went just fine and no it’s not in beta stage… 2.7 has been being tested for months. Common sense says they wouldn’t tell you to upgrade to a beta version.
Make sure there are no odd characters or spaces at the beginning or end of your wp-config.php. That will often cause blank pages. Also, deactivate plugins (delete them through FTP if you can’t access your admin panel) and see if that fixes it.

You can’t lose data by upgrading. Your posts, pages, comments, settings, etc are stored in your database. Just make sure you backup the database. You should ALWAYS do that before you upgrade.
