A workaround for this is to add a new Result called “Penalty Kicks” via SportsPress Settings > Event Results > Add New. Be sure to set a high number as the “Order” so that it shows up last in the Results table 🙂
These could be added as either Results or Outcomes via SportsPress Settings > Configure.
If you’d like to keep track of more than 1st half, 2nd half, and Goals, you can add them as Results.
For outcome variations like Overtime and Penalty Kicks, these would be added as Outcomes. Then, you can select both (Win, Overtime) as outcomes for that team.
I hope this makes sense!
Good point. The reason for this is that the plugin is designed to work with any sport. Since outcomes are calculated differently depending on the sport, and the number of possible outcomes can also differ (based on sport, and language), we’ve made it a manual selection.
We could eventually add a configurable javascript setting that would enable automatic calculations 🙂
This one is a bit tricky, but the way to change the order is by editing each column via SportsPress Settings > Configure, then changing the “Order” value in the “Attributes” box. Columns with higher numbers are displayed first (i.e. on the left, in LTR languages).
Hope that makes sense 🙂
Agreed! We could definitely add this in the next version 🙂
The default image is from Gravatar (Mystery Man), which comes in square size only. We wanted to make the plugin compatible with all themes, which means that while the gallery can always use square images, the featured image will be different for each theme. So we think the best solution is to not apply a featured image to the single player page unless one has been selected 🙂
This makes sense, but the problem is that event titles are only auto-generated when it is left blank. If, for example, you entered a title for an event, we wouldn’t want to overwrite it. So the delimiter setting will only affect newly added events for now 🙂
Agreed! We’ll be sure to include this in the next major update 🙂
You’re right, an AJAX reload would be much cooler 🙂
The reason we’ve used a basic PHP calendar is because WordPress core does the same, and this also allows us to link the calendar with events from that month (if attached to an archive page).
Great suggestion. We have planned an extension that will enable several color choices per team and per league 🙂
Great idea. Help text would be great to display under the map.
We’ll also look into adding an option to select map type (Map/Satellite/Hybrid/Terrain).Interesting! This would definitely be useful for teams where players play different positions. We’ll look into an elegant implementation of this.

In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] Suggestion: Substitution timeWe’re working on an extension that keeps track of event highlights, which will include individual player performance and substitution times 🙂
Interesting idea. This might be something that we would release as an extension in the future.
Great idea. We’re working something similar into a theme that we’re developing, but we’ll look into adding this to the core as well.
