In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] Adding teams in event pagesHi there,
Thanks for letting us know about this issue. A recent update enabled choosing the number of teams per event via SportsPress > Settings > Events. The issue was introduced along with this update and which now been fixed in version 0.8.6.
Regarding adding options for Player Status on the event page, the current version only has the 2 default options “Starting Lineup” and “Substitute”. We’ll definitely look into adding the ability to add custom status options by version 1 🙂

In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] IcehockeyHi Mike,
Thanks for your question! Yes, SportsPress supports outcome variations by adding multiple outcomes.
To do this, first go to SportsPress > Settings > Configure and add a new Outcome called “Overtime”. Make sure you also have “Win” and “Loss”.
Now, you can select multiple outcomes in an event. Go to the event and select 2 teams, then Publish. This creates a match preview.
Once the match is over, go to the Results section at the top and click on the Outcome column for each team. Select “Win” and “Overtime” for the winning team. Publish.
To award an extra point for overtime, you’ll need to modify the scoring system. Go to SportsPress > Settings > Configure. Go to the Columns section and edit Points (or add a new column). In the equation builder, add “+” followed by “Overtime”, which will automatically add 1 point for each event that team had OT in their outcome.
Hope this helps!

In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] how to ?Hi there,
Thank you for your question. SportsPress currently supports Team vs Team sports only. We will be introducing Player vs Player mode by version 1.
We’re also working on documentation on configuring and using the plugin.
Matches are in the admin sidebar labeled as “Events”. Hope this helps 🙂

In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] An issue with venueHi there,
Thanks for letting us know about this issue!
We’ve just released version 0.8.5 containing a fix 🙂Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] Event List Not Showing ResultsHi there,
Regarding the first question, an event list will only display results if there are numbers in the result section. In the current version, outcomes (Win, Loss, etc) will not be displayed in this column.
To display results, it’s best to add a Team Result via SportsPress > Configure. For example, you could create a result called “Points” and enter the number of points per team, which will then be displayed in the Time/Results column.
Hope this helps 🙂
We’ll definitely add a way to do this by version 1 🙂
Regarding team logos, you’re correct. Featured image is the same thing. We’ll change the label in the next update. Thanks!
Hi there,
It looks like you have the football presets from an older version of SportsPress. We’ve since split the player statistics into 3 different values: Metrics, Performance, and Statistics. Many of those performance values can now be deleted and added as Statistics. Although we don’t have a preset for football using the new system yet, the general guideline is:
Player Performance: Values that are added to each player in each event.
Player Statistics: Values that are calculated using Player Performance and other values.
I hope this makes sense! We’ll soon be releasing a version with new football presets 🙂
Good point. The main issue with this is that we’d have to change the behavior of the results table by adding an exception. We generally try to avoid exceptions because we want the plugin to be easy to configure for any sport 🙂
SportsPress is actually designed to use custom templates if you add them to a folder called “sportspress” in your theme. For example, an “event results” template in Twenty Fourteen would be in wp-content/themes/twentyfourteen/sportspress/event-results.php
If a template file is found, SportsPress will use it instead to display that part of the template. You could make a copy of the same file from the templates folder in SportsPress and tweak it to work into your theme.
Hope this helps!
I definitely understand. A couple things to consider, though:
While an “Image coming soon” image have more meaning, we’d need to create a separate graphic for each language. This is why we think using the Mystery Man is more universal.
Also, if we were to add a placeholder image to player profile pages, this would mean that any teams that don’t wish to have player photos (youth teams, for example) would be forced to display “coming soon” images instead of a simple page. Depending on the theme, that simple page may already have images in the header, footer, background, etc that give it enough character.
Hope this makes sense 🙂
We’ll definitely mention it in the guide later on 🙂
I was wondering if there are any JS errors (possibly from other plugins) that could be causing this. Could you send me the System Report via SportsPress > System Status?

In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] GAA and ClubHi again!
I really like the blank statistic sheet idea! A lot of other great suggestions here too. We’ll definitely add them to our ongoing feature request list (it’s getting quite long!) and will try to prioritize as much as we can.
