I’m getting the same problem all of a sudden. The attributes for post.php haven’t changed, and resetting them to 755 has no effect. No other function is effected, just saving/publishing.
I’m getting part of this problem, an incorrectly formatted Preview link overlapping my expanded quicktags:

rechecked the file dates and uploaded the admin and includes directories again, but no change.
Reloaded and upgarded again, now it works.
I can’t find a capabilities field or a user_level field under usermeta. I do have a userlevel of 10 under “users”
