In reply to: [Auto Affiliate Links] Links not displayed in some postsHello.
In case you missed my email response:
I noticed that in the page you sent me,
there other links that are added by Auto Affiliate Links, for example: “Google” and “SEO on-page”.Auto Affiliate Links provide you with many settings to tweak the frequency and the way links are added.
By default, it is set to only add few links (2-3), based on the post length, so the post won’t look spammy. Also, there is a limit each time the same keyword and same links will be added. This is usually set to 1. The same link or same keyword will be added only once.
You can alter these settings from your WordPress admin panel: Auto Affiliate Links -> General Settings.
Look for: Link frequency, Same keyword limit, Sale link limit.
To be sure that the fact that the link is not added is not caused by the set options but it is a fauld from the plugin, which I should investigate, do the following:
- Set the keyword frequency to custom. A new input box will appear and put there a high number, for example 20, or 30, to make sure that the link addition is not limited by this value.
- Set same link limit to a high number, for example 10
- Set same keyword limit to a high number, for example 10.
- Set link distribution to “Top”.
If using the above settings is adding keywords all over the place, we know that it is working and expected, and you can tweak the settings based on your preferences. Lower the amounts set until you get the desired results.

In reply to: [Auto Affiliate Links] Internal Link ClassHello.
Options in “Internal links” section only applies to internal links.
Our plugin was first intended to be used for Affiliate or other external links, but a portion of our customers are using it for internal linking (for navigation and SEO purposes). I have created separate options for external links and internal links.
The plugin determines automatically if it is an internal or external links. If it is internal, it will apply options specific for internal links. If it is external link, it will apply options set for general links.
If you don’t intend to use it with internal links, ignore those options.

In reply to: [Auto Affiliate Links] Certain Characters Not RecognizedHello.
Thank you for reporting this issue.
I will try to find a solution for the reported problem.
Can you tell me exactly which Adblocker software you are using that blocked our script?
Thank you.
What was happening is that at the update when it stopped working for you, I added more fields to be exported. Before, it was only link, keywords and title(tooltip). After, it was link, keywords, disabled checkbox, title, custom limit, disclosure checkbox (in this order – the same as the inputs appear on the edit screen). If you notice, the title was the forth column.
This is why it worked when I exported and imported a file using the same version. But if you exported a file before the update, and wanted to import it after the update, or if you created a CSV yourself with link, keywords and title, it didn’t worked.
I changed it so the title will remain the third, and in this way it will work with older exported files too.
I will start looking into the firefox issue too.
Regarding the first problem, with import/export. I think I figured out what is happening. Please update to the latest version and let me know if it works.
One last question about the import/export. The file you were trying to import was exported using an older version of plugin? Just to confirm that my assumptions were right.Regarding the expanding problem, there might be a javascript error. Please open Developer Tools while you are on the respective page (Ctrl+Shift+I), and go to Console. Post here the javascript errors you get there related to Auto Affiliate Links.
Thank you for helping me with the details.
One more question: this issue happens only when importing links? It is working when you manually add/edit links?
Hello.
I was unable to replicate your issues on my test sites. I need more info to try to solve this. Please give me your website URL where the links are not showing the tooltip. If you don’t want to put it here, sent it by mail: contact [at] autoaffiliatelinks [dot] com
Hello.
Thank you for letting me know about this issue. As I understand, there is a problem when new links are added. I will check to see what is happening and I will fix it.
Thank you again.
Thank you for helping me figure out this issue.
To confirm, it started working after you clicked on Flush exclude button added in the last update?
