Actually scrap that last post for now. I think i know whats going on now. In the wp snapshots folders there was multiple backups of the site created by another plugin and i difnt realize the files where still there, so when i uploaded the archive these files were unzipped all over the place and i couldnt understand at first why there was multiple copies of the site all over the ftp server, because each time i ran the duplicator it kept creating theses copies as well and it has taken hours and hours and hours to delete them, so what ive done now is created afresh local install with perfect files and folders and im deleting all the old stuff off the ftp server. BTW in relation about the ut8mb4 char i as talking with Dreamhost support and they said their servers were not at that level yet so thats why i was getting the errors. The saga continues…..

Yes, you get what you pay for i suppose. so thats probably why a 249kb image (print details page) is not loading instantly on my approx 100mb fibre optic line. which is why im worried about how bad it will be for viewers, if i get any 🙂 Do you know if Cloud hosting companies would be any better?
JosephHi. I did what you suggested. I downloaded the Uploads manually from the server, then after I ran the Duplicator installer I moved that folder into the local site folder and finished off the process,with the permalinks etc. and it all worked. yay!! Its a bit of a rigmorol but itll do until i find a more auto backup system. At least i can now move to another host easy if i want to. I’m a bit disappointed about the speed from Dreamhost, they’re meant to be “200 times faster”, but I’m on a 120mb fibre optic line here and some of the images are coming in like its Dialup!! I can only imagine how bad its is for people viewing my site on a more common slower connection. Perhaps you can see how bad it is (not trying to spam here, almost reluctant to put in the link as i really hate false posters!)

Yes it does seem to be a time out issue. I filtered out all the .jpgs and it worked then. Unfortunately it doesnt really help me keeping a backup of the site as it is a photography site and it would be a major pain reinstating all those images. I tried manually downloading the site and database but i kept getting errors when importing the database, is there any other method you can suggest.

JosephAh yes but my point being is that you are showing the pro version on the Basic version webpage, which is misleading.

I replaced the original album code with the one kindly supplied by DiZeX, because of the duplicates and pixaleted thumbnails(even though we shouldnt have to!), but I’m still getting albums showing up with no photos. I know theres some fixes on the github site but I’m not sure which ones to use.
Its so frustrating that there isnt a proper well made plugin for this, you would think there would be by now.

In reply to: [Black Studio TinyMCE Widget] Cant always re-edit imagesWell now it seems to be the browser was the problem I was using IE 11 and then I tried the new Firefox and it worked fine. Also in IE 11 I couldnt edit the images in the normal pages either, and yes I did click on the image first, so it mustnt be a problem with the black studio, and there were no errors in the console in IE. Are you able to try it out in IE 11??
