I don’t think you understand what I’m trying to do. I’m not talking about trackbacks *to* my posts.

I’m talking about Update Services. Disabling pings will not change this behavior. Disabling Update Services won’t update this metablog when I post, which is what I want to do in the first place.

Er, I do need it though.

Thanks, that fixed it. Sorry I wasn’t able to find that on my own–I had been searching for “archives”, and that didn’t turn up.

But am I right in assuming from the other thread that no one is treating this behavior as a bug? No other weblog software behaves this way, and I don’t think anyone expects this. When you click on a monthly archive link, you expect to get all the posts from that month. Other behavior is going to appear buggy to 99% of people who download the new WordPress, and there’s no documentation about how to fix this.

I’m having the same problem. The archives only display as many posts on a page as you have set for the main page in Options > Reading. Can someone explain how to fix this?
