    That did the trick!

I set it to elastic instead of fade. I actually like it better that way!

For your notes, I did make the changes you suggested earlier, but had no effect and I was using the Chrome browser as my default. I didn’t think to test with other browsers.

Upon testing, including with IE, I discovered Chrome was the only one doing it, at least my Chrome.

I switched to another computer that runs on Windows XP, and the Chrome browser on it did the same thing.

So the fade setting worked fine with Chrome on your server, and it works fine with Chrome on my Wamp server, but not so fine with Chrome on the HostGator server, which is used by both my computers. So it seems like maybe that has an element to it.

But anyway, works fine now with the changed elastic setting!
I can now take my little refresh note down for visitors!

    Thanks for all the help!

Yes, I put it on a temporary post so you could find it without the clutter. At the below address, just open the box, then re-click to open again to see the difference.

Thorned Rose’s method is what finally made mine center after no success with all the other settings.

I have dual side bars with the center post page about 500px wide.

I was able to tell that the show was dead center by watching the spinner as it first loaded.

I could not tell by the slides themselves because a lot of them were different widths.

For example a pic with a width of 262 px, made the slide show appear to be aligned left, while another pic that was 400px wide displayed with equal margins both sides.

So, unless there is a setting in some file to center the pics within the centered slide show itself, it looks like Nextgen is not coded to center varied widths images. You have to first center Nextgen, then adjust the widths of your pics so that the margins come out equal on both sides.

That’s what did it in my case.

By the way, make sure you press the CTRL F5 keys to clear the cache, otherwise that can fool you as well in not seeing results for changes made.

I use Nextgen because I need multiple galleries, but I like WP-cycler because it allows me to hyperlink the pics, and stop the slides on mouse hover, and it’s always centered, but it won’t allow multiple galleries like Nextgen will. I use it with Nextgen on the same page.

I noticed that WP-cycler is strict about the image size upload. If it’s not the same size that you set your slide show width and height, it won’t accept the upload, maybe because otherwise, the pics would be off center like Nextgen.

I had the same trouble and realized I had a page 2 of plugins at the bottom.

I deleted the plugin because I couldn’t find a way to give write permissions to the download folder that I set. That’s what it said it needed, plus there was another thing in red at the top about a clone folder, unreadable, not writable, or something. I didn’t even know what to do in that box.

Another thing was, I was unclear on where to access the file to add the below code in case of forgot password.

    $_CONFIG[“jcpass”] = md5(“my_new_pass”);

at the end of the config file cloner.config.php just
    before line ?>

Us dummy’s have a rough time of it sometimes.
