figured it out!!! since i couldn/t get it working with that code, I used the third option on here, http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL “Changing the URL directly in the database”

Thank you for your help! It still didn’t work for some reason… is there a certain place in the wp-config.php file that those two lines should go?
