Finally – after having troubles with all versions from 3.7 to 4.1 – the actual version 4.3 of SB Child List works fine for me, with wordpress 3.7 as well as with 3.8.1.!

I downgraded to sb child list 3.6 (why are the old versions banned from the website here) and with this old version everything is fine again.
Same problem for me with sb child list 4.1 and wordpress 3.6.1.
Plus: The order of the children can not be managed anymore, the given value is ignored.
