In reply to: [External Login] Unable to login to external databaseHey Chandra,
Sounds like it is. I can’t really help with this but it’s great your posting here as someone may help you, and if you do find a solution, I’m sure someone else may benefit π
As it’s not an issue with the plugin I’m going to mark this as resolved but would obviously appreciate you still sharing any progress in the thread π
Good luck π

In reply to: [External Login] Very useful pluginThanks for taking the time to write a review @mativve. Really appreciate it π
Hey @mativve,
Really cool of you to share this for others – much appreciated π
If everything is working for you I’d be grateful if you could write a review or even buy me a beer.
Thanks,
Tom π
Hi Mativve,
I try to avoid adding lots of platform specific hashing solutions and have instead opted to provide a hook so that you can add this logic yourself while not modifying the base plugin.
You can find details on it here:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/external-login/#what%20hooks%20are%20available%20in%20the%20external%20login%20flow%3FThere are also a handful of support forum threads that have asked this previously so you can look at those examples too.
If you have any more questions, please don’t hesitate to get back in contact π
Thanks,
Tom

In reply to: [External Login] Error 500The most likely issue here is your hashing algorithm is setup incorrectly.
Can you double check what hashing solution the external database uses on passwords.

In reply to: [External Login] Error in Role MappingHey Shanul,
It seems like you are missing files. I don’t have a clue why they would have been removed from your server.
May I ask that you re-install the plugin from here:

Tom

In reply to: [External Login] Error 500How are you getting on @alin26?

In reply to: [External Login] Error in Role MappingHey @shanul,
Sorry for the delayed response.
May I ask that you:
- open a private browsing window
- Login
- Visit the settings page
- Confirm if you see the 999 at this point? If you do, it would indicate that the styles for the plugin are not being loaded correctly
- Open the developer tools and see what errors are in the console
- Click the “+” button and see if any other errors get generated
If you can then report back with your findings that would be great.
If you do find 999 is appearing before you click anything let me know.
Thanks,
Tom

In reply to: [External Login] wp users resetHey @ketr64,
I believe you are asking if there is a way that at a click of a button all the users that have currently come from the external database would have their data updated?
The answer to this question is no, the plugin does not have this feature. The data is only updated when the user logs in.
This feature could be added down the line but it’s a chunk of work and thus would only exist in the pro (paid for) version of the plugin. The pro version is currently being created but is a way off and the first iteration wouldn’t have this feature.
I’m sorry that this isn’t the news you likely wanted but I feel I’ve answered your question so I’ll mark this as resolved. However, if I’ve misunderstood or if you have more questions please don’t hesitate to come back to me here with more questions π
Thanks @ketr64,
Tom

In reply to: [External Login] Error 500Hey @alin26,
This is a server error and is normally not related to the plugin itself.
I would encourage you to run the test and then check the logs on your WordPress server and your database for relevant errors.
If you can find a useful error, feel free to share it back here (making sure you redact any private information).
Thanks,
Tom π
