The wordpress software itself i want to use in English, but the site I create will need to be in Japanese.
I’ve never created a wordpress site before – does a theme normally have a number of language files or just one? And you’re saying I would have to edit these – I can’t just use a theme made for English with Japanese out-of-the-box?

A manually updated feed would be just fine I think. To be honest I haven’t created the site yet – I’m investigating how it would be done on wordpress. So I haven’t made any custom CSS or anything like that…. i’ll look into the custom CSS plugin thing!
