<?php advman_ad(“HTML”); ?> and the add will appear.
Please open an issue if you do not get this functionality. When testing, make sure you remove any targeting (e.g. for a tag or category) to make sure that the ad just does not appear because of this.

What version of WordPress are you using? Also, what plugins do you have installed?
If there is a plugin that does not use the proper editor code, there may be a problem. I will test locally to see if I can uncover anything.

It could be that the size of the ad in Advertising manager is different than the actual size of the ad, thus cutting it off?

Are your widgets part of your website template? Can you try to add an ad in a post, by typing the following text in your post:
[ad#name]
(note: swap the actual name of your ad for the ‘name’ text above)
Do you see an ad?

If you add the ad to a post (by selecting an ad using the Editor button), does it show?
Also, can you confirm that you are looking at a blog post that is categorized ‘antlers’?
