    Hey,
    thanks for the fast response.
    Well the permissions of the wp-admin folder (and all underlying subs) are 755.
    And all files in wp-admin and the subfolders are 644 I think.
    I did not make any changes to the permissions.

    And if the permissions are not sufficient to delete the wp-admin folder´s content….why is that folder empty after the failed restore…hmmm

    Well the main information I gor from you: the effect cannot be caused by the plugin.

    So I have to search further.

    Hey, well I tried to contact you today twice via the support form, but did not get a mail that the ticket is submitted.
    Are there any problems on your site ?

    I also cannot upgrade from 1.5.7 to the most recent version as all the links lead to blank pages.
