Thank you for answering. No, unfortunately the person who built the site locked the ability to edit the CSS and is the only one who can get into the server files to fix it. When I deactivate Gallery, the code is still there and I can’t delete it. I did find a post in this forum that had the same problem. There is no way to renumber the galleries, and my images are looking for Gallery 3. He discovered the only way to correct it is to go into the server and delete out the files, which in this case, only the developer can do. Beyond this problem, the gallery on the home page of Vertex bleeds through to every page which is awful anyway. That is why I deleted things in the first place. Vertex is a terrible theme.
