you´re right, WPFC features CSS minify & combine were the ones causing the problems. Thanks a lot for your help!

I´ll be damned, WPFC seems to cause the problem. As soon as that is disabled, the maps display just fine. Same when logged in as admin, because WPFC doesn´t display cached content then.
Though I can´t figure what WPFC does to block or comment out the stylesheet – beats me. Maybe I´ll try a different caching plugin, or do you have any suggestions?
