If you need widgets in Homepage then first of all create a Homepage template and assign a homepage template, then go to Reading settings and Assign a Homepage template as a home and blog, blog page as a Post and save the settings. you can also following screenshot link: http://prntscr.com/rxrneq
Go to Widget (Theme Dashboard >> appearance >> widget ) and Use widget or drag on frontpage section widget.
