In reply to: Can you delete my topic?I will abandon altogether. I just found out you don’t allow people to delete their accounts here, nor delete their Gravatar accounts. No offense to you personally, but to me that kind of practice is the the worst type of Silicon Valley arrogance.
Nevertheless, I hope you have a great weekend.

In reply to: Can you delete my topic?Got it. If you unwittingly break the rules you aren’t able to edit your post to correct the error or remove the post. Instead, you get to stick around and enjoy the shame that comes with it. Roger that. Excellent policy.
I sincerely appreciate the help I received, and while I’ve always admired the noble spirit of WordPress, there’s always been a smugness from the company that I think is manifest in exactly this type of policy. I love that everyone is so committed, but these types of policies aren’t very consumer friendly and strike everyday folks as arrogant.

In reply to: No CSS, no admin access, site redirectingI apologize if it’s not something that is acceptable here. I should have read the community guidelines. I will remove my email address, and I expect you would want to as well. Thanks again, DJDoubleXL189! You really helped me out in a difficult spot.

In reply to: No CSS, no admin access, site redirectingDude. You saved my life. It was the config.php file. Such a simple fix and not even complicated MySQL. May I PayPal you $20 to thank you for your time? It would be my sincere pleasure. So many helpful people pitch in here with their own time. I would love to at least buy you a nice lunch.

In reply to: No CSS, no admin access, site redirectingThe [ redacted ] account is different and is a dead-end email address. I canceled that account with Laughing Squid right before making this change.
Again, I didn’t move it, but are you saying I can run these update scripts and that should fix any spots where the URL is messed up?

In reply to: No CSS, no admin access, site redirectingI’m sorry if I’m not saying things correctly. I’m not a pro. I value your input so much, so please do help educate me.
I didn’t move the database. All I did was change the details on the WP admin page. I did go into myphpadmin and changed the fields back in the MySQL database to the former values (I believe). But it sounds like you’re saying I need to change something else. Where am I missing it?

In reply to: No CSS, no admin access, site redirectingThanks, DJ. I thought I did that. I changed the siteurl and home fields to http://johnmobiliopaintings.com/blog. Basically, I just changed it from http://johnmobilio.com (the temporary one) to http://johnmobiliopaintings.com/blog. Am I missing another location? Have I messed up the spelling/syntax/URL?
