Yes, I will take your advice and start learning again something else that will be new to me (css). And also, I only want to change the colour of the background of both pages/posts with,say a very light TAN, so that I can then change the Font colour to a Rich dark blue, which in my opinion would look so much better that Black on white.

I am useless with html (css etc), but I need to change the background of ALL my WordPress websites from a DRAB WHITE with something else. I would like to play around with quite a few colours.
Now i am using “Twenty Thirteen” and have changed the header etc.but when one logs in, the whole setup looks AWFUL.
