In reply to: [Customizr] Centering menu does not stickJust typical. I’ve been trying to get this to work on and off for the last week without success. I just tried again, by setting the menu to left align then back to centre, and it works.
I did nothing differently than I have tried previously. Now I’m confused.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Gutenberg will kill wordpress@melchoyce, that’s the whole point. It shouldn’t be necessary to seek help just to do something as simple as centring a block.

In reply to: [Media Cleaner: Clean your WordPress!] Broken URL’s in PluginHi, I tried these links again today (29th December your time) and it looks like they’ve been fixed. Thanks
Hi Jordy, I have version 6.1.2 installed. The problem is that the recommendations tab in the dashboard has 5 links to external content that does not exist at the linked URL. For example, in the recommendations list there is an item called “Optimize Images” with a URL of https://meowapps.com/optimize-images-cdn/ The page in the link does not exist. All five links on the recommendations tab are broken in the same way.

In reply to: [Media Cleaner: Clean your WordPress!] Images used only in FooGalleryHi Jordy, many thanks for your thorough reply. I ran the cleaner and have the following observations to make.
1. I removed about 2.5GB of files from my media library and did not break anything π I am left with only 4 images that I use as sliders only in my theme. I chose to ignore those and this was expected behaviour as per the documentation. Happy days.
2. I have 2,100 media files listed in my media library as unattached that do not show up in the items with issues list. I am pretty sure that these are media files that I have added to FooGalley galleries. To test this I added one new file to the library and did nothing with it. I then ran a scan and the new file was shown in the issues list as expected (it is the only file). I then added the new file to an existing FooGallery gallery and ran the scan again. This time the new media file was not shown in the issues list (the list is reported as “Empty”). So it seems that Media Cleaner (not Pro version) does recognise when a media file is added to a FooGalley gallery unless I’m misinterpreting what I’m seeing.
3. Regarding the “Custom” image size I mentioned, I don’t think I made myself clear. I upload a new media file size 1024 x 683. I now have my system configured just to create a 200 x 200 thumbnail as well as the original. I do nothing else with the file and run a scan and the new file is listed, as expected. I then add the image to a page but instead of adding either the original size image or the 200 x 200 thumbnail I select an option to insert a “Custom” size and I define 800 x 534 and save the page. When I check the file manager there are no new image files created (I did refresh the interface). I then run the scan again and the new image is not shown in the issues list. So I think I answered my own question. It seems that Media Cleaner detects the fact that an image is in use even if neither the 1024 x 683 or 200 x 200 image is used. I don’t fully understand what’s happening here, it’s just what I observe.
4. So I still have about 23GB of media files (.jpg) stored. The vast majority of these have been created automatically either by WordPress or my theme. Until recently I did not realise that this was happening, hence my current “project” to clean things up. Media Cleaner has helped me clean out media files that were genuinely not in use and that’s great. However, I still have many thousands of image files that are not in use i.e. all those created by WordPress and my theme but where an “associated” but different sized version of the image is in use. I was hoping that Media Cleaner would help me clear those out, maybe this is why I would need to use the “Filesystem” method that you mention?
All the best
StevePS is there a way to embed screenshots in these messages? I created some screenshots to illustrate my testing but could not figure out a way to embed them in this message.

In reply to: [Media Cleaner: Clean your WordPress!] Images used only in FooGallerySorry, I forgot also to mention another question. Many of the photos I have put directly onto a post or page have been added as a “custom” size (by editing the attributes of the image on the page). For example, I uploaded an image which is 2048 pixels on the long edge, none of the auto-generated sizes are what I want so I select custom and define 800 pixels on the long edge. Checking the image files using the file manager I do not see that another image 800 pixels on the long edge being generated. Will the original 2048 pixel image be detected as being in use and therefore not potentially deleted.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] W3 Total Cache ErrorJust an update. I raised a support ticket with my ISP who quickly resolved the issue. They found and removed some corrupt files (sorry, they gave no more information than that) and all is working again.

In reply to: [Customizr] Blog posts don't appear in browserSo for me this link works http://www.tiger800rtw.com/?page_id=58
That’s just a list of the blog entries with a summary for each, 10 posts per page. But this link doesn’t present anything at all, just a blank white page
http://www.tiger800rtw.com/?p=1095
That’s just a link to one of the posts in the first URL above. What do you see?

In reply to: [Customizr] Blog posts don't appear in browserOK, a couple of updates from me but blog posts still don’t render in the browser.
Additional steps taken:
1. Re-installed WP 4.5
2. Deleted, re-installed and reactivated Customizr theme
3. Cleared all caches on the server
4. Looking at the DOM Explorer (out of my depth here) I see the following for EVERY blog post. Other pages etc. show a LOT more than this.<html>
<head><head>
<body><body>
</html>
