hi RV.
Thanks for posting those links. I read the linked pages and will consider that POV too. 🙂
That said, I have surfed to sites that have a image gallery and when clicking on the image thumbs am taken to a larger image (in a lightbox) and I enjoyed seeing the photo WITHOUT the need to copy it.
And, even IF the site had “no copy/right click” enabled (on the site), it would NOT piss me off (the fact that I cannot easily copy the photo) because I found the information or the image and enjoyed it on THEIR site.
I don’t have to have everything on MY computer, nor do I expect to do that or want that.
So, the “non copy” or “harder to copy” photo gallery is STILL of interest to me. 🙂

So, does this mean that NGG is workable IF I also install a separate SCRIPT that prevents right click?
Does that mean I just need to install a script? (and where does that script go?)
Hi.
Alex, thanks for your input. I understand what you mean.
That said, I have seen some sites where it is not easy or not possible to “right click save as” images shown in portfolios and galleries.
That is what I expect and all I hope to achieve. 🙂
________
Anyone else have some suggestions about how to make this happen while using NGG as the backbone for display?

In reply to: Can’t access WP-Admin – blank white screen 2.8.5My problem was the plugins. I deleted them and reinstalled them and I am not up an editing again. Good luck with yours. 🙂

I did spend a lot of time looking at some featured blogs, but for some reason…I missed those. The link will help.

In reply to: How to Have 200 pages or Posts Indexed Easily?Alism, thank you again for your POV and advice. 🙂
I am still hoping someone else has done this before (cooking sites? recipe sites, sites with lots of “Tips” in a list).
So if anyone else has a site to link to or a widget to recommend, let us know. 🙂

In reply to: Admin Page is Blank (whiteout) : What to do?Alism’s suggestion worked! 🙂
For future Newbies…here is what I did.
I went to my blog host account via FTP (Filezilla) and found the myblog folder and then found the plugins folder.
I renamed the plugins folder to plugins 1
I then created a new directory (folder) named plugins.
Then I went back out to the web and entered my blog address. The home page came up, I clicked on ADMIN button in the META area and it immediately took me to my DASHBOARD. Yea! (or is is YEAH! or…YEE HAW!). So I am “back in business” for editing.
Now…I also have those 20 or so plugins….and I will now try to install a few, one at a time and test….to find the culprit.
Good luck if you have this same issue.

I wish I could be “mean and lean” but you know what happens…we see the candy in the candy store and we wanna have some. 🙂

I will try that.
I did install about 20 plugins…without testing each one on the site…so I will just start with one at a time. 🙂
Lessons learned. 😀
Is 20 or so plugins TOO many?
I suspect not, but is there some kind of “guideline” on what may be too many or so.
Thanks for ANY and I do mean ANY guidance on this. 🙂

In reply to: Can’t access WP-Admin – blank white screen 2.8.5See my post on same subject. But…I did not upgrade to 2.8.5.
I am still on 2.8.4 (via my host Powweb).
My ADMIN screen is BLANK (white) and while the other pages show on the web, I have no way of editing etc. (Details in my post: “Admin Blank..”

In reply to: Admin Page is Blank (whiteout) : What to do?I am guessing that there must be a conflict with one of the last plugins I installed last night.
So, I am prepared to delete the entire list of plugins in the plugins folder via FTP.
Does anyone have another suggestion?
I have cleaned up my computer, emptied the cache on PC, rebooted my PC, and re-logged in via the host and still get a BLANK ADMIN page with NO DASHBOARD.
Any help anyone?
Even a suggestion on how to possibly keep my content while reinstalling the WP and Atahualpa?

In reply to: Admin Page is Blank (whiteout) : What to do?PPS. I also have cleared my cache (on PC) several times, re-entered via the Host Ops panel several times, each time clicking on the listed “ADMIN” link to my blog….and the admin page wp-admin always comes up just BLANK (white).
I also went to the Host and checked via FTP and see LOTS of files there and the folders full of stuff and the folder for Plugins full too. I can’t see that anything is missing.
Any suggestions?
