Agreed! Not working well on this issue.
it is working for me again.
Due to another problem with a language plugin i increased the memory_limit in php.ini (now 64mb)
The language plugin works, but also the Gallery plugin.
NOt sure if this is due to the memory increase, but maybe this helps you guys.

also here. Since yesterday a NextGen user.
Looks pretty sweet. But idd, not thumbnails are created.
Its says 100% thumbs created, then the inner-box disappears, but the white outer-box stays on top. Nothing….
Closing the box manually, back on the main window. Refresh, but no luck.
So, for now, i cant use it yet.
