I just didn’t get how this works.
Pending posts by Contributor-level users are listed in Edit Posts.
Logged in as Admin, you can preview each one as it would look if published, and click on the title to go to a deeper Edit Posts page, which displays the Publish button.

In reply to: Point Register Link Elsewhere (WordPress Or Register Plus)Actually, I just want that link to go to the autoresponder signup form. I’ve structured the site for two levels: members who can’t post (autoresponder only), and members who can post (autoresponder plus RegisterPlus).
The main glitch is that Register link goes to the RegisterPlus form instead of the autoresponder form.
Another glitch would be if people find the RegisterPlus form and fill it out before they’re in the autoresponder database. I’ll send people to it with an autoresponder, but theoretically the still could possibly fill out the RegPlus form. There’s no way to filter people who haven’t gone through the autoresponder first (that I know of).

Got the message that the “plugin” was successfully installed. Woops. Now looking at the files on my server to try to undo any damage.
But maybe there is no damage.
Do I need to worry about this?
The email is rejected only when a user tries to register a new user in WP (which doesn’t go through Register Plus) instead of through the web site (i.e. Register Plus).
sorry about the error in the title. it should say “same email” not “same password.”

In reply to: register plusYes, that was in fact it. I think I disabled Email Notification, but didn’t enable Admin (aka Manual) Notification.
It works now!
