In reply to: 404 Error…site down or lostOkay. I fixed the problem..I changed everything back to where it was, and now I’m getting the following errors.
My website pulls up the following error: Error establishing a database connection
If I try to log into the admin I don’t even get the log-in screen anymore. I get this: Error establishing a database connection
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at mysql.spitfiresworld.com. This could mean your host’s database server is down.
* Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
* Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
* Are you sure that the database server is running? If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

In reply to: 404 Error…site down or lostI tried that. And when I do, it auto changes to http://www.spitfiresworld.com/onestepjourneys/wp-login.php and then reroutes to a yahoo 404 error page.
BTW, I apologize if I’m coming across frustrated. I am immensely grateful for the help you’re providing. I’m just very upset with my host.

It’s what DreamHost said to do. Methinks they knew about as much about the process as I do. Na-da.

In reply to: 404 Error…site down or lostI’d really love to give more detail, but I’m afraid I can’t. I can’t access my admin page anymore to tell you precisely where I changed it. It was one of the admin pages in the WP dashboard. There were a LOT of boxes, and 2 different boxes had the site URL in it. I changed it in both. Other than that, the boxes lots of information that I didn’t know what it was. I know some of it had to do with my template name, and things like that. But all I know is it was a very long page with lots of boxes.

In reply to: 404 Error…site down or lostI mean the page of the URL. It’s http://www.spitfiresworld.com/journeys
I was trying to alter the /journeys part. The advice my host gave me was to go into the admin section and change it where it gave the URL part. Well it screwed something up internally, because now I can’t even access my admin page. It sends me to yahoo’s 404 error page.
