Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Top Posts and PagesThere are many threads on this, but only a few lists the fix. Here is what I finally did after spending like 4 hours searching the web for a fix.
In your dashboard under plugins, disable all listed plugins. Then use a FTP application and delete the Jet Pack directory under: ftp://yourwebsiteurl/wp-content/plugins/, or use windows explorer, type in the above url, wait to login, then delete the directory.
Then add new plugin, select Jet Pack, and re-install. Then go back and re-activate all your plugins.
The fix is to use a ftp application, or use windows explorer and type in ftp://yourwebsitedomain/wp-content/plugins/
wait to login
login with your normal user/pwddelete the JetPack directory.
return to the dashboard, under plugins:
disable all plugins
click add new, click on Jetpack install.
re enable all pluginsBrandon Kraft ~
I cannot see the Plugin in my Active Plugins. When I search for it, nothing comes back. How do I deactivate this Plugin so I can install .1 to fix it?
Tried to install 3.4.1, but here is what I get:
Installing Plugin: Jetpack by WordPress.com 3.4.1
Downloading install package from https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/jetpack.3.4.1.zip…Unpacking the package…
Installing the plugin…
Destination folder already exists. /home/content/92/9457992/html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/
Plugin install failed.
