In reply to: Targeting custom htmlThanks jaynarayan. I want to use the custom html widget to display the title of the specific image used as the background on a specific page. So I need the following html to target each page where a different image appears.
<div id=”headerbanner” class=”widget widget_block widget_text”>
<p>The Eildon Hills, Scottish Borders</p>
</div>Thanks

In reply to: Images Won't "Delete Permanently" or "Replace Media"Hi AJ and thanks for replying. Hopefully I can clarify things a bit.
I originally uploaded around 70 images to the library using the uploader and all seemed well however a change was requested which affected each of those images so I edited each of them in Photoshop and saved them on my hard drive with the same filename thinking it was simply a case of uploading them as before and that they would overwrite / replace the originals. I now see that that is not how WP does it and that the best I could hope for would be that the new file would be added with an altered filename. Fine. However this didnt happen either. What happened was that WP either refused to accept the new files with same filename (if I change the filename before upload it does) or does accept them (they seem to upload alright and as normal) but then automatically replaces new with old version even if I have physically deleted the old unwanted version before uploading the new one.
I am sure it is something simple but it is just one of those little things that gets to be an annoying problem that I just cant quite understand and would like to.Here is a list of plugins I have installed. I have tried deactivating them but it doesnt seem to make a difference.

Child Theme Wizard

In reply to: image upload problemSpoke too soon this is still happening!
To recap: I have uploaded a set of images to wordpress but have since made an edit (in photoshop) to the images. When I upload the new batch of images which have the same filename as previously, the original image re-appears (if deleted) or is not overwritten by the new file. WordPress does not give me the option to change the filename on upload nor does it change it automatically by adding a digit etc. as I believe it should. I have deleted / deactivated plugins but this is still happening. If I change the filename prior to upload it works fine.I have a horrible feeling that I am missing something very obvious and wasting hours trying to figure this out! Help please
Steven

In reply to: Admin login not workingJose, thank you for your reply. I have discovered that I have exceeded my database limit and that the database has been temporarily suspended so I either have to clean it up myself (scary) or upgrade my hosting package (easy)

In reply to: [Custom Banners] Banner widget is stretching my featured imageHi Richard I had kind of given up but I havent found a better banner creator plugin so your help would be greatly appreciated. I did manage to solve the stretching problem by editing the plugin code but since updating I have forgotten what I did! If you could tell me that would be great. Also is there a way to remove the semi trans panel along bottom?
Thanks
Steven

In reply to: [Motion] Motion Theme RevivalJust discovered that Motion may run into problems with new WordPress. Big problem for me as I have just spent a good deal of time designing 2 sites based on this theme and the client loves them. What can we do to persuade the developer to update it?

In reply to: motion theme transparency behind postsThanks WPyogi
I am using Motion, yes.
How do I find where exactly to change that CSS. I can create an image ok or could copy and paste code to match background transparency as it appears around/behind widgets etc
