I tried different settings.
at first it was “2”, then, during the experiments with preservation of copies, put “0”.

if I completely manually delete all copies in the directory, then I set any value greater than 0 (for example 2), the first two copies are stored correctly, and the third – will not overwrite the first, but just is not saved.3.
during the tests I’ve created a lot of backups manually. and sometimes, one of the regular backups overwrite an existing one. But it very rarely happens and the cause is not yet clear.4.
