Okay, I did some more research.
I upgraded another WP site to 3.0.0 and am having the exact same issue with it. I tried reverting through Simple Scripts, but still it is slow and causes throttling on my account.
The original site that has been having problems still has them as long as I have a single plugin enabled; it does not matter which plugin, as long as one is enabled, things are terribly slow.
any ideas?
Yes, does not solve the issue.
