For what it’s worth, I’m using this plugin and the Google page speed tool works just fine.
I installed 404page direct from the WordPress repository, and it did not work. I then checked this thread and downloaded and installed the dev version that is linked in the previous post. Using the standard mode, the plugin works. I am using Weaver Xtreme theme.
