    Thanks for the tip, jrodgers! The thing is I’m using a Mac right now. If anyone has access to a virtual PC, though, and has a minute to check everything out, I’d really appreciate it!

    Wow; thanks everyone! I really appreciate the feedback.

    While I’m writing, one of my new goals is to improve navigation; I’ve been slowly tagging all my old posts so I can eventually make it easy for people to locate related posts, but are there any other suggestions that might help?

    Also, I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I still get quite a few visitors running IE6 and I can’t figure out how to test the site in older IE versions. If anyone has access to IE6, I’d really appreciate a browser report.

    wish you had comments turned on tho, would have liked to comment on a couple of postings

    I’ve been toying with this idea, but considering I can’t post a request for design feedback without being scolded about religious scriptures, it might turn into somewhat of a moderation headache…

    (By the way, nbitting, I’d be happy to discuss content objections in a more appropriate venue, if you care to email me.)

    Ah, I understand now.

    My apologies; I had assumed the extra UL tags were being output by the template tag, so I didn’t think the category_before and category_after parameters would have done the trick.

    Your suggestion worked perfectly; thank you!

    Not quite, no.

    wp_list_bookmarks() adds an encompassing unordered list around the whole lot, which isn’t really appropriate in my context.

    That is, the template tag outputs something along the lines of:
    <ul>
    <li><h2>Category 1</h2>
    <ul>
    <li>Link 1</li>
    <li>Link 2</li>
    </ul>
    </li>
    </ul>

    I want to do away with the nested lists.

    I’ve tried experimenting with the parameters available for the tag, but still can’t seem to coax the output to resemble my example above.

    Maybe I’m missing something obvious, but can anyone offer a working example?

    Thanks for all the kind words, everyone!

    I’ve added a link to a syndication feed to the sidebar, but I think, even though it’s unusual, I like having search on a separate page. I’d still like to improve navigation, though, so if anyone has any other suggestions, I’m interested. 🙂

    Thanks, resiny! What sort of navigation do you suggest for the sidebar? I’ll be the first to admit it’s not terribly functional at the moment.
