Hi, I just made a screen capture video. In the video, I clear the cache of the wordpress site. I then open a Firefox browser and I clear the cache and history. I then open the website and show the error. I then turn off the plugin, Siteground Security, I again clear the cache for the wordpress site and for the Firefox browser and go to the page and enter password and it works. I then turn Siteground plugin on again. Clear the cache and history and try the site again and it doesn’t work. I am giving you a link here to download the video so that you can see what I am doing. Hope this helps. https://healthyyoutoday.com/workonline.zip https://healthyyoutoday.com/workonline.zip

    Hi Elena,
When I created the website… it was only about 2 weeks ago.
I installed everything from scratch and installed all the plugins as new. All plugins are the most recent.
Yesterday… Wishlist Member contacted me and asked me to clear my cache and try again to see if the problem still exists.
So…. I used a different browser that I hadn’t used before. And to make sure… I cleared all the cache from that browser. I then cleared the cache from the WordPress site.
I reinstalled Siteground Security plugin. I created a setting for the “Login Protection” section in the settings.
I then opened the page that I have issues with. Once on the page, I enter my login details and once I hit enter… again, I am taken to a error page. Just like before.
Once I turned the Siteground Security plugin off…. I am able to login and be taken to the page that I want to go to.
So with all the cache cleared… with the using of a different browser (and I tried, Firefox, Safari, and Chrome) I had the same results.
My question for you would be… when you tried this test, had you opened up the Siteground Security plugin and set up “Login Security” and created the “Custom Login URL”.
I think this might be where the issue is. You should try this and see if this is what creates the conflict.
    Hope this helps….
Please let me know if I can do anything else to help out.
    Thanks,
    Rob

Hi, below is an email that I received from Wishlist Member:

    Hello Rob,

The team have agreed to provide a testing copy of WishList Member to the SiteGround devs.

However, they should first open a ticket so that we could use their name and email to register them to our plugin and provide them with the download links.

They could set the ticket subject as "Testing Copy" or something similar and our team will try to reply to it as soon as possible.

I'll also paste our support link below for convenience.

    Please let them know.

    Thanks and take care,

Because I copied and pasted my message, some of the text was cut out.

    I will try pasting it again in this message;

Once I installed Wishlist Member plugin, I was setting it up and I had this issue with the login pages that I was creating. When you would go to a page that was locked and you entered your user name and password, you would be taken to a 404 error page.

No matter what I did or the settings that I tried to use, it was always the same. You could Not enter a user password and name and be taken to the page that you should have access to. You would be taken to a a 404 error page.

I submitted the issue to Wishlist Member to have them troubleshoot the issue.

What they discovered is that it is SiteGround with it’s changing the login that creates a conflict with Wishlist Member.

With Siteground Security plugin, you set up a different login, something different than “admin”.

This causes the conflict with Wishlist Member and causes all attempts to login to be taken not to the page that they should have access to, but a 404 error page.

I had to delete Siteground Security plugin and go with Wordfence.

I am not complaining, I am only submitting this issue to you for your development team so that they can hopefully fix the issue.

There is another plugin called: WPS login that does the same thing with changing the “wp-admin” name to a different name and that works fine with no conflicts.
