I am having the same menu drag and drop not working using the studiopress magazine theme. I am NOT a computer expert, in fact, if it weren’t for the ease of wordpress I wouldn’t have a blog. So your solution is greek to me! Where do I find the functions.php file to remove the code you mention above? Be gentle, it will take me some time to follow each step so I don’t screw up my whole blog! Thanks!
