I received this error today.
I have another dropbox account and the local install. I closed the local install, created a new account and authorized the connection. Dropbox said complete. The plugin gave me an error “There was an error authorizing the plugin with your Dropbox account. Please try again.”
I read the support blogs. Close my Firefox Browser and tried again. Still broke. I checked my email from creating the new account and approved my account with dropbox. Once I did that I tried the plugin again and it worked.
