In reply to: [Gutenberg] Amazon associates plugin (AALB) – compatibility@iandunn – can I just ask – is it only the paragraphs that can have the text colour changed in Gutenberg?- What about the Headings? – I’m switching back and forth between the classic editor and Gutenberg to do all my Headings in different colours, but surely it can also just be done in Gutenberg?
Thanks

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Amazon associates plugin (AALB) – compatibilityWow – I’ve found the text colour setting 🙂 – Thanks!!! It’s kinda hidden – I didn’t realise that you have to click on the little arrow on the right in the settings – sorry!
And yep, the MaxMind issues seems to be a prob from their developers discontinuing and changing a file
@iandunn Many thanks for the quick answers!

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Amazon associates plugin (AALB) – compatibilityI’ve just been clicking around, and seen that I can switch to the ‘classic editor’, then the AALB feature is there again 🙂 – but will the classic editor soon be discontinued, and it will just be Gutenberg? (just worried that I won’t be able to use the AALB plugin correctly if that happens)

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Amazon associates plugin (AALB) – compatibilityAlso, I’d like to know how you can change the text colour easily when using Gutenberg! I added blocks and couldn’t find out how to change the text colour for the life of me – am I overlooking an obvious feature?
Thanx

In reply to: [Amazon Associates Link Builder] Product search in the articleHi, you are only allowed to add a certain number of products using this plugin – before I could add 10 products, but looks like they’ve changed it to only being able to add 9 products!

In reply to: [Amazon Associates Link Builder] Main Product Image is just a grey box@robertshaw Mine was a silly thing! Quite embarrassing actually, but I’m new to all this so I can excuse myself lol – I was getting the big grey box on everything that I retrieved with the plugin because I was supposed to get an image and upload it there myself! I didn’t know that, and then figured it out in desperation. I was only getting the smaller images with descriptions, but not a big main image. I wish they had put that in the documentation, would have saved me 2 weeks of going grey and snapping at my cats! Sounds like you are having a different issue though?
Here’s a link to a vid that I saw on Youtube, maybe it can solve the same issue that you’re having?

Hi @robertshaw – just to ask if you are using WooCommerce??? – If so, check for the error message in the Status settings! – My error had disappeared from the Plugin settings, but was still in the WooCommerce/Status settings! – My Host support team just fixed this too! Thank goodness I spotted it. Hope yours is all fine!

In reply to: [Amazon Associates Link Builder] Main Product Image is just a grey box@amazonlinkbuilder – Hi Amazon Link Builder support team – Please are you able to assist with this issue – I really would like to continue using your plugin – but I desperately need to get the main images showing. I’ve been asking around and trying everything but I still just get this big grey box and no main image.
All my other images are there if I use another import plugin or upload from my computer. I’ve tried trouble shooting and googling, but still stuck – I will be so grateful if you can investigate. I’ve supplied screenshots in my above postI’ve also just published one product on my website for you to see, and all my other posts are test ones that are unpublished as they look too bad to post with the big grey box appearing every time.
Many thanks
Sherry
Issue got fixed by someone else thank goodness!
@robertshaw – thanks for the info and taking a look at my site – yeah, I haven’t published those pages as they look bad with the images like that. I’ve checked on different computers and it’s the same result. It’s just the main product images that are from Amazon, all the others on my site are fine. I’m gonna ask a few tech friends if they can help. Shame I don’t get any results from the plugin support group.
Have a good 2018!
Sherry
@robertshaw The support team from my Host got it working for me thank goodness! The permissions number depends on your Host, mine said they set it at a different number and not 777. I think the Geo targeting is now working as when I post a product, I can see the correct Amazon ID in the url, but I guess only time will tell if all is working correctly and I get sales.
The only other big prob I have now is that the large product image still won’t show, and I think I’m waiting in vain for the Amazon support team to investigate it properly – been nearly 2 weeks now 🙁
I hope yours is all working ok

@robertshaw @uttrichp My host company guys on level 2 took a look at it for me and kept working on it – I think they have fixed it, all within 40mins! They have an amazing support team! I will check it properly tomorrow as I’m too stressed right now from the whole experience of spending a week solid trying to get it sorted.
@robertshaw – Great that it worked for you David! I wonder why I can’t get it working! Level 2 from the Siteground support team can’t seem to get it working for me either!
Are you able to let me know exactly what steps you did!? Why can’t it just be a case of installing this blasted plugin and it working!!!!????? grrrrrr
