    @renae4e wish I could be more helpful. Turns out our issue was related to the theme we were using. We hired a developer to recode the checkout page to comply with the Square plugin.

    @hxxrmonkey thanks for taking the time to offer your insight.

    Our “pay by check” method seems to be working fine. The error appears when attempting to pay by credit card (using Square) on our normal checkout page. And thanks for the tip on removing checkout fields. We have not edited or removed any fields. Very perplexing.

    We are open to other user suggestions. HUGE thanks in advance for your time. (Still can’t believe that WooCommerce tickets are shut down for a week….)

    We are seeing the same error message at checkout. (Error: Square was unable to complete the transaction. Please try again later or use another means of payment.) I tried creating a ticket with WooCommerce but, unbelievably, their entire team is away until Sept 22.

    Below is the log from our failed transactions. If anyone has any insight, we would greatly appreciate any ideas or suggestions on how to correct the issue. We are using WooCommerce Square (v.1.0.9) and WP (v.4.6.1).
