Tried Dagon Design Form Mailer as a replacement and had the same problem. Looks like I just need to find something that’s not tied into WordPress for contact forms.
After reading a suggestion in another thread, I determined CForms to be the culprit. It was apparently fine until it went live and someone tried to use it. Odd, though, since I used it before making it live, but then I only had about 20 posts, so maybe that had something to do with it.
I was good until I hit 1500 posts. Now I, too, am having this problem. Nothing related to update services helped.
