In reply to: How to install a themeUnzip the theme.
Upload it to /wp-content/themes/theme name
Remember to keep it in it’s own folder in the themes directory.
Go to Presentation in the Admin panel and click on it for it to be displayed on your site.

In reply to: Where is .htaccess and index.php file ?Create a .htaccess file in a text editor and upload it to your root. It can be empty to start.

index.php – 2 of them. One in the root which you rarely ever need to touch and one in your theme directory which will be used in many different ways.

In reply to: layout question/helpGrab yourself a text editor that works with CSS, PHP, HTML and whatever else.
Open a copy of the Classic WP theme or any theme you want to work with and start to drop in the WP php elements section by section.
Split it into the various pieces, i.e. header, index, footer, single, page and any others and before you know it, you will have your basic design up and running.

http://members.stlcoplxa.com./I would delete it all, check your subdomain and database settings and then re-install.
