In reply to: [Postie] Nonstop Emails After Latest UpdateAfter re-install, it once again flooded my mailbox with emails. However, I simply let it flood and it eventually stopped. Now it is working fine. Apparently the update of the plugin triggered every email I had ever sent to Postie to then “repost”.
I have now deleted all the email in the box and set it to automatically delete the emails that get posted to Postie, so hopefully this won’t happen again.

In reply to: [Postie] Nonstop Emails After Latest UpdateOK, I will re-install/re-configure and let you know what happens.

In reply to: [Postie] Nonstop Emails After Latest UpdateNo, they were all different but blank. They were along the lines of, “Your post “” has been published…” The empty quotes would usually be filled with the title of the post, but there was nothing there. And each email had a new post number, so it would be post #21234, then #21235, and so on. And those numbers were higher than the most recent actual post on the site, so the emails were all new.

In reply to: [Postie] Nonstop Emails After Latest UpdateYes, every email was the same, but referenced a new post number. They finally stopped coming after deleting the plugin, suspending the email account, and clearing my site’s cache. I haven’t tried to reinstate any of those elements yet. What do you think could cause this?

In reply to: [Postie] Nonstop Emails After Latest UpdateUPDATE: I have now suspended my Postie email account, and I’m STILL getting emails, nonstop. Literally an email every second. How can I stop this?
Since no one else has chimed in here, I will inquire which direction you think I should go to address this? I have tried re-installing WooCommerce, if that makes a difference. I’m open to any suggestions!
My server supports mod_xsendfile and that’s the way my downloadable files are served to customers. Here is a screenshot of my settings related to this:

Is this an error in xsendfile? Should I be searching for assistance elsewhere?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Digital Downloads Not Working on iPhone and iPadJust to update this thread in case anyone else runs into the same issue. If you have your customers download Documents 5 from the app store they can download the files directly. For my site, Documents 5 was the ONLY downloading app that worked. I tried dozens until finally Documents 5 did the trick. So, going forward, I just include a note in all my customer receipt emails that gives instructions on how to download their files depending on what device they have.
If you are interested, I wrote out a whole tutorial and even made a video. Here’s a link to that page (PLEASE NOTE: The site I’m linking to contains adult content. There is no adult content on the page I’m linking but if you start clicking around, you’ll find some!)

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Digital Downloads Not Working on iPhone and iPadWow, it’s not every day that you get a support response from one of the guys who created WooCommerce. Very humbling!
Thanks for the reply. It appears now that I have to figure out a way to communicate to my users that (once again) Apple doesn’t want them to use their phones the way they would like to. That sucks, but the idea of decrypting the sold files puts my sales at risk and developing a custom delivery page of some kind would inconvenience everyone, including me.
If anyone else has this issue and comes up with a semi-elegant workaround, please post about it here so I can read it!

I am having the same issue. When I click to “recalculate” my score, whatever that means, it runs through a little over 1000 items on my site. I see the progress bar move as things happen. However, once it finishes, nothing happens. There’s no “Done!” or anything…so I X out of the box and then refresh and boom, there’s the box asking me to recalculate again.

In reply to: XML-RPC Causing My Own IP Address To Be Blocked By Server HostI realize this is months old, but I’m going to give an update in case other people have issues.
I figured out that my home IP only gets blocked by GoDaddy when both me and my girlfriend are home all day. Since we’re both home all day, our phones are constantly connected to our home WiFi and thus the official WordPress app for Android is constantly running in the background on our home IP. Apparently the WordPress Android app ABUSES XML-RPC to the point where GoDaddy actually thinks I am trying to brute force my own server…thus they block my home IP.
If only one of us is home all day this problem does not occur, and if we split up the day, i.e. we are home for a few hours and then leave for a few hours and then come home again, the problem does not occur. The problem is the WordPress for Android app and it NEEDS to be fixed.
Right now there are two obvious workarounds:
1) Don’t use my home wifi for too much time straight.
2) Have one or both of us uninstall the WordPress app.
Both workarounds are ridiculous and totally inconvenient. The solution to this problem is for the WordPress app to stop abusing XML-RPC.
If anyone else has this problem, please voice your opinion so the devs will notice.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Chile not showing postcode/zip code?I can now confirm that other WooCommerce stores also have the issue where Chile’s zip code entry box is missing, so it is not a bug with my particular theme. Please check to see if you have this issue as well!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] State Selector not working in 2.3.6, in Internet ExplorerCan verify: rolling back to 2.3.5 fixed the issue. Simply FTP the old folder overwriting the 2.3.6 folder and it’s all good.
