I’m encountering the same issue. Boss is pissed.
I ended up copying all the plugin files, deactivating the original plugin, and then editing the copied plugin files directly. It was messy.
This feature would be very helpful for me as well. My client frequently changes out the image in the widget, but needs the title to remain the same.
