JetPack is apparently a new plugin made by the WordPress people that includes WP stats — the thing we’re having problems with now.
It looks like JetPack is a bundle of WordPress-made plugins, and they’re pretty useful.
It also looks like in the future they may add optional plugins that they could charge for.
Hey @silgringo thanks for the good info on that.
I just deactivated the wp stats and started using jetpack now, and things are looking right again, just as @silgringo described.
Yeah, it’s a sucky way for them to get people using jetpack if that’s what they’re doing. But I’m kinda liking what it’s giving so far…
Thanks silgringo – did the Jetpack stuff also put your times back to your blog’s timezone, instead of displaying UTC?
Does the most popular links API bit that WP stats have, start working again with this Jetpack stuff?

In reply to: Fatal error when activating OpenID pluginI have the same problem. I can’t just delete the PEAR installation, though, because it’s used for other things.
I would think that the plugin should use its own version of the Jan Rain libraries, if it has its own, and not pull in libraries installed elsewhere in the system.
Or, at least not try using both at the same time.
