    OK I managed to find out how to restore my website from the database I have backed up via the PHP Admin. I followed these instructions very carefully. I selected the database file I wanted to import, and selected SQL format and clicked on “GO” I really thought I had cracked this and then I get the following message below. This is driving me mad. Any help greatly appreciated as I don’t know what else to do.

    Error

    SQL query:

    # WordPress MySQL database backup

    DROP TABLE IF EXISTS wp_commentmeta ;

    Hi leejosepho thanks for the reply. I followed your instructions exactly, and still no luck with getting my website up and running. I can’t even login to the wordpress admin. This is the message I still get

    “The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred.”

    It’s really fustrating that something as simple as a manual update has managed to knock my entire website down.

    Would you have any other ideas as what to do next? I do have a copy of my database that I get emailed in a folder to my email address weekly.

    Would this make a difference?

    Many thanks!

    Thanks for the reply. I’m a novice at this, so really not sure how to go about restoring my website.
    I backup everything that was in Filezilla belonging to this website, so it should be easily restored.
    I’m just not sure about my next step. Should I just delete everything on the server associated with my website on Filezilla, or just transfer all the files that I had backed up and overwrite what is already there.
    Many thanks!
