It looks like I removed what ever it was that was producing the loading issue. The loading issue is something that I’m also concerned about. I think it has to do with 2 things. 1. the site is on a shared hosting server. That is not going to change. This site is just for a buddy of mine. 2. I think the slowdown is being caused by the WordPress Jetpack plug-in. If I turn it off the site loads pretty quickly. Which really sucks because the Jetpack mobile plug-in actually works and looks pretty nice. But it’s tied to the entire Jetpack plugin set. WordPress needs to break them all apart.

Hmmm. I spoke too soon. that didn’t work. I followed the shortcode install directions. and then added the above code because I add the shortcode to the widget. It just displays as text. When adding this code to my fuctions.php file does it need to be wrapped in a function?
